Curious if anyone here has used any of the ebay "custom" EVA's? We have a name brand on our 410 right now, Aquamarine deck. At probably no fault of the product itself, the swim platform glue is starting to fail and the cockpit isn't far behind. I say no fault of the product because the previous owner likely did no prep to the gelcoat and simply plopped it down, which is almost guaranteed to fail.
I generally don't cheap out on stuff but my intention is to get a 2-4 year replacement EVA before we ultimately do one of the more durable flexiteak or synthetic teak options. I want a temporary while my kids are still in the extra destructive age (1 and 5) so once the small one has gotten a bit bigger we'll do the preferred teak.
At $1,600 (versus way more on the Aquamarine/Seakdek/etc) I'm thinking it might be worth a try but would love to hear real-world feedback. We had the generic type on our 290 that I cut to fit and it was very durable, but I want the more finished look of the custom cut this time.
EDIT: I did just look at our aquamarine quote and it's around $2,800, less than I thought. At that price difference maybe it's not worth the risk but still curious to hear any feedback
