East Coast Bow Thrusters

We have utilized Florida Bow Thruster in the past, many times.

But I am looking at the method and approach these guys are making on installing the hole, then the thruster in the above pictures...and see nothing but a professional job happening here. They have flared the glass back appropriately and certainly appear to be doing all the right steps.

For the other part of the discussion, I drive all of our sport yachts and yachts and can show off with the best of them but I have been in places where a thruster was oh so welcomed when there and wishing I had one when not.

Bottom line is I do not show off but do my utmost best to deliver a vessel unscathed and unscratched.....and if that required a thruster to accomplish, I am all about it !

I Agree with Captain Rusty and all others that have commented on Bow Thrusters!
During a Haul Out at my dealer to have the outdrives refinished, I called Florida Bow Thrusters.
They happened to have a crew that could come over to the dealers yard and install the correct size.
Their work was great, and did not leave a dusty mess in the cabin.
You have to clean but not excessive.
I try not to use it most of the time, but usually have it turned on just in case I need it.
And I take the boat out on days that I would probably not if I did not have it.
It has come in very handy several times.
I came to the conclusion that get it done now rather than later so I can get all of the benefit out of it, and I agree it will help the resell at the time that I decide to sell/trade.

As always, the Captain speaks the truth. Sure, it would be nice to never use the thruster, in fact I rarely do. But approaching a dock, it is ALWAYS on and at the ready. And should it be required, I would not hesitate to use the bow thruster in the name of pride to avoid damage to boat or crew. Hell, I shot a video with a drone in Atlantic City of someone making very ample use of his thruster during a pretty basic docking maneuver and I never once made fun of him. Mistercomputerman did though.
