I need to replace my manifolds and risers on my 290 with 5.0L's. The boat is left in saltwater. The shop says e-coat is for fresh water only. Is this true?

Most people don't realize, Merc (OEM) has 2 different lines of exhaust manifold & risers. The E coated line is made for fresh water only, the ceramic coated are the ones to use in salt water.
