So I have new to me 2017 Sea Ray 250 SLX. It has the Dynamic Display which is made by Medallion IS and uses the Viper ii control unit. It did not come with a map card. There were two SD cards in the unit but both just had the troubleshooting guide on them. When you go to the Nav screen on the MFD it gives gps data and just shows a map of the whole US with my location accurately but with zero detail. If you scroll in at all it just goes blank.

I purchased the Navionics Plus US/canada MSD card. This was the one recommended to me by Navionics for the Viper ii. I activated it with their online software and downloaded the map detail I wanted. Mostly GA and FL. After putting the card in the Map slot and firing it up nothing happened. The Nav screen however wouldn't load. Would just be blank or wouldn't switch from whatever other screen I was on. I could go between any other screens just fine.
Took the card out and I was back to where I started...giant map no detail. Loaded it again and let it sit for a couple hours thinking it was just slow downloading...same result.

I've emailed both Navionics and Medallion and have not heard back.

I saw on one forum there was an issue with SD cards being too large for the system. The Navionics card is 16GB but the data I downloaded was much less...probably 1GB.
Does anyone have any experience with this unit? Really want my charts boating in the ICW and Coastal areas.
