DSM placement

I just bought the DSM 30 and am wondering about where to mount it. I search the forum and couln't find a thread on this.

My mechanic suggested mounting it in the bilge next to the distribution panel, but I am concerned about interference from the engines. Is there an alernative location others have used? Is mounting it under the dashboard an option? Thanks.

We mounted the DSM30 behind the E120 MFD. The panel that holds the E120 is removable and behind is a large section of grey starboard that for the electronics mount. The fusebox, VHF, Sirus, and other electronics are mounted on 3 seperate sections of starboard, one behind the E120, one above and behind and one section below directly behind the access panel directly below the steering wheel.
