I just got a hard to find connector cable for my Raymarine L760 and hooked up my DSC radio to it. Hopefully, it will work correctly. I guess there is a way to test it by changing the channel from 16 to another channel.

Anybody test their DSC?

You can test by calling another boat's MMSI, there is no test for the emergency DSC function. Like an EPIRB, don't use it unless it is a true emergency.

No need for that, though. If you have the NMEA connection correct, most (if not all) VHF's will display your lat/long.
