Drivers failing to use their turn signals are a pain and worse.

This is one of my pet peeves. How flipping lazy do people have to be to refuse to extend their fingers a few inches and move a stalk? Baring unexpected surface conditions and equipment failure, there really shouldn't be freeway accidents. Why haven't Americans mastered the art of driving in a relatively straight line at similar speeds?

Lazy, nonchalant, attitudes are the norm with most people it seems.

Come on! How the h3ll am I supposed to switch a turn signal hold my phone, hamburger, fries and a Coke. Duh!

According to some twenty-somethings (kid's friends), it just isn't cool to use your turn signals, or "blinker things" as one kid put it. Go figure...

People that drive white Mustangs with red gaudy interiors are the worst.

How about a hood mounted paintball gun, to splatter "non blinker" peoples cars?

What about the a-holes that never turn them off !!.

I was following a car today that was going to make a right hand turn for 3mi's. :smt021

I think we should banish people who don't use their turn signal to Antarctica, along with cyclists who ride on the wrong side of the road.

I have often thought of carrying a paintball gun to tag cars that get to close when I'm biking.

One main reason an awful lot of folk don't turn them off is because they have hearing loss and don't hear the "tick" of the signal:) They only remember to turn them off when they see the flashing indicator (some in FL have trouble even seeing that!) They need a good pair of hearing aids!

Driving home from my daughters softball game a few minutes ago a guy passed on my right using the shoulder, but he used his blinker so I guess it was ok.

Sorry Scott,

I know you have taken up cycling, but the Antarctica cyclists list should include:
1. Cyclists who ride two, or more abreast,
2. Cyclists who ride in the middle of the road,
3. Cyclists who do not stop for red lights, or stop signs
4. Cyclists who cut in front of traffic.

Sorry, I know there's a lot of rage there. But I drive a lot in the Peoples Republic of Cambridge where cyclists have more rights than motorists and pedestrians.

And back to our original message Yes, burn the frickin non signaling drivers at the stake!

And please turn it on *b e f o r e you start your dart into the other lane.. You don't have to tell me you just moved over into that lil space in front of my bumper. Just turn on the blinker and let me know, I'd like to be able to give you ample room and opportunity.

Maybe ?? They were using hand signals and you just didn't see them while YOU were texing .

Were you following me Wayne? LOL!

Actually I have that issue sometimes with my right turn signal. It is a leased car and the automatic return on the lever broke and sometimes merging and stuff I miss that it is on.... Oops...
But only 3K more and I get to turn in that car... :smt038

I think some people are scared to signal in my region because if you signal on the beltway other drivers(usually MD tags) take it as an invitation to accelerate into the side or rear of your vehicle. At least that's how it goes for me. So I signal then prepare to floor it to change lanes.

Yeah... And then there are those people...........

Sorry Scott,

I know you have taken up cycling, but the Antarctica cyclists list should include:
1. Cyclists who ride two, or more abreast, True, but most states allow cyclist to legally ride two abreast. They are supposed to go single file when traffic is congested or they are impeding traffic, but not required to by law.
2. Cyclists who ride in the middle of the road, By law, a cyclist can not be forced to ride on hazardous pavement, when the pavement is chewed up, he has no choice but to be in the middle. The cyclist is legally entitled to the whole lane, just like a car. If a cyclist hugs the shoulder, he gives the car an excuse to not leave the lane when passing, thereby creating a dangerous situation for the cyclist. A motorist is required to give the cyclist 3 feet of clearance or more in most states.
3. Cyclists who do not stop for red lights, or stop signs You're right, cyclist are to obey the same rules as a car.
4. Cyclists who cut in front of traffic. Depends on what the situation is, the cyclist has just as much right to the lane as the car, if he is turning left, he will cross lanes to get in the left hand turn lane.

Sorry, I know there's a lot of rage there. But I drive a lot in the Peoples Republic of Cambridge where cyclists have more rights than motorists and pedestrians.

Well explained Scott. Like most of the non biking public, Henry needs remedial training. :smt043
