I'm about to remove my drive unit and replace the water pump, all bellows and probably the gimbal bearing. I've studied up on all the manuals I have, read numerous articles and feel I can do it with my eyes closed at this point. So I'm ready. But darn, there are a bunch of specialized tools they recommend!
Does anyone have some they bought, did it themselves and is now letting someone else do it? Have any of those tools to unload?
I think I can fabriate an U-joint bellowed sleve removal tool, and the installation tool. I found a reasonable slide-hammer bearing puller for the gimbal bearing. In total, I need the following:
U-Joint bellows sleeve remove tool: P/N 91-818169
U-Joint bellows sleeve install tool: P/N 818162
Hinge Pin Tool: P/N 91-78310
Bearing removal and installation tool: P/N 91-31229A5
Shift cable removal and install tool: P/N 91-12037
Exhaust bellows expander tool: P/N 91-45497A1
Engine alignment tool:
Like I said, I think I can fabricate some of my own, but some I just need to get. One time investment though. Next time they'll pay for themselves. But a used tool is fine with me. Heck, I'd even consider renting it from you!
Anyone have them?!!
Thanks,
Tom
