Will a Bravo 1 or 3 drive shower work on a Bravo 2? I am unsure if the top caps are the same and am looking at a top mount shower from another vessel.

Thanks. I don't currently have my boat as it's in storage but all ready getting ready for next season lol.

I saved some samples of gear lube after I changed it in my bravo3. The black one is what the oil looked like after 1 season before I installed a drive shower. The center is after 1 season with a drive shower. And the one on the right is new gear lube.

The fluid on the left is what I got out. I did run the boat harder than the year before and it was almost the same color as out of the bottle then. Ill be putting a shower on here in a few. Thanks.

So the drive shower is just a device that channels the sea water up and over the top of the outdrive unit to cool it down, correct? Is this something that's unique to Mercruiser? And only certain outdrives? Does Mercruiser make an OEM model?

Yes. That is correct. Bravo 3s run very hot. Most of the outdrive is out of the water when up on plane. I have a Simrek. The same one installed on Formula boats as factory equipment.

I also purchased a Simrek. I have never seen a Mercruiser brand. From my reading and talking around the marina I'm sold on the idea. There not the cheapest item but nothing is on a boat.

Mine is in between the left and center. You just answered my question about getting one. Getting one I shall! Thanks for the post.
