So I have had a sticking door on my 280. I cleaned all the tracks and the door opened and closed smoothly but the screw on the top of the door which goes into the slide block keeps working it way out. The other day in rough waters it worked its way all the way out now the block isn't lined up with the screw hole. My question is, is there a nut in those blocks or was it just threaded. I can't find any info anywhere showing the bottom side of the block. New ones only say that your must drill your own holes.

Does anyone have any info that can help me.

have you tried putting some Loctite on the screw? That might do the trick!

I had put picture on it but it still worked it’s way out. Now I’m just curious what the screw threads into. Is the poly block threaded or is there a bolt in the block?

I replaced the blocks on my 260DA years ago. The block has no insert and no threaded hole. It is made for a screw.

So what you recall is they just threaded the poly block. I'm surprised they went this route as it would wear those threads out.

I know the thread is from awhile ago but my blocks are no longer attached to the door. It would great to know how you were able to attach the blocks to the door. Thank you.

I stand to be corrected based on my experience that I posted back in 2015. That entire thread is exactly what happened.
