Just find it interesting how when something is completely normal it is relatively unremarkable. We had the same with MAJOR home reno we did once. Major changes house was odd before (to say the least) and we neutralized it and made it quite normal. A relative came by and didn't even realize we had done any work as the result was so normal that it didn't stand out. We always use that as a benchmark for how well we have done.
