Drain the Block 4.3L

I have a a new 2010 18.5 Sport with 4.3L Merc and have a newbie question. My engine have a drain knob in top of the motor. My cruising area is on the Potomac River near the 301 bridge/Port Tobacco, MD area. Will I do any damage to my motor if I drain the block at the end of each day before the boat goes back to storage on the boatel. By the way no I do not flush the block everytime I use the boat. Nope - just make sure the drive is in the water before you start it!
