I have a new to me 2005 Sea Ray 180 Sport. I just picked it up and will be gathering required safety gear tonight to try and practice launching.
There is a drain plug in the transom under the motor that is wired and is steel with a square head to tighten.
I was impressed at the snap-out floor and when I pulled it up, there is a round hole cover. When I removed, there is also a drain plug there that is the brass/rubber kind that you put in and bend the tab over. This was in the floor in front of the moter, so a seperate hole then the one in the transom.
Do I need to plug both before getting in the water (I know, sounds dumb) and what is the difference between the two?
