door wont stay shut - 240SD

the wind keeps blowing my door open when I'm running down the lake...the helm door that also latches under the wind shield. anyone else having or had this issue? I am considering installing another latch on the bottom but wanted to ask my fellow csr members first.

Does it blow open when you have the door closed or when the door is being used to block off the bow opening?

These latches are pretty simple devices and may just require an adjustment to fix. Are you still covered under warranty?

Since it is still under warranty I think you will find that they just need to adjust it. I know I had a problem with mine to start with. They had to change the shim/stop on mine to get it working correctly. Hope this helps.

I agree with Chuck. They probably need to shim the striker plate in the bow opening.

I agree as well, probably a simple adjustment fix, and since your under warranty they will happly fix it for you.

I know on mine sometimes it appears open and lachted open and then I hit the gas and get on plain and BAM! scares the crap out of me.

I had the same problem with mine. Since my dealer is over an hour away I moved the striker plate. Works fine now

same here!!! (good thing that 303 protectant is applied regularly on the seats!)

+1 on this issue......I will have to look at moving the plate as well when I get her back out of storage in 19 days!!!!!
