Dometic toilet leaking at level indicator

Per the pic, the toilet is leaking at the seam. And the leak is obviously waste. It's very slow but needs to be fixed. Will I need to replace the whole thing? Any chance Dometic will replace? It's five years old... Appreciate any advice.

It is unlikely that they'd replace it after that much time.

Call them with the model and maybe they'll know if it is fixable. You can likely email them a picture. Offhand, you only would need to swap out the bottom portion of the unit and they can probably get that for you.

Thanks, looks like I'm putting a new one in. I have the line out and vent line connected with metal clamps. When I reconnect the lines, do I need any sealer beyond the metal clamps or just tighten the metal clamps?

Just do the clamps. You may want to seal where the vent and waste pipe go through the wall in the head -- if you have a pumpout connection and use a shower.

Can't you just order the bottom of the tank?

Yes I just bought a replacement bottom tank. Anyone ever put the larger 5 gallon tank after using the smaller tank? It's three inches taller and my wife already hits her head with the shorter tank, don't think larger will work...

I did not because the waste and vent hoses would need to be moved up about 3 inches as I have the pumpout connection and did not want to cut new holes in the head and patch up the old ones. I also was unsure that the existing hoses had enough play or slack in them to take up the additional height.
