Doh!

Yuck. Any info on where this happened, when, and the condition of the boat now? The schooner looks a lot like the one I used to sail on.
 
Power boats being the give way vessel only goes so far. IMHO the sailboat made the mistake.

Most likely an inexperienced sailor became confused by the reversed direction of tiller movement and intended directional change.
 
What amazed me was the kid sitting on the bow of the sail boat, didn't even move!:huh:

Some people need to re-familiarize themselves with the rules of the road. Sailboats have limited right of way over powerboats. That limited right of way evaporates when the engine is running. Then the sailboat is a powerboat and the same rules apply.

Cool vid!

I often wonder in vids like this though, why they get cut off. I want to see the rest of the filming. The resulting debris, the aftermath etc...

That's what pay sites are for..this is probably just a teaser/trailer.
