I have a 1986 300 Weekender, this boat has two small side windows that are movable (open to the outside to direct air into the seating area on deck, these are just aft of the windshield). I opened the port side glass and reclosed with an edge of the eisenglass enclosure was trapped under one edge of the side window, this caused the glass the crack in about one hundred directions.
I have located this pc of glass glass in a boat in a salvage yard and plan to go get it however I don't have a clue how this widow is removed. I'd like to have the tools and knowledge with me before I run over to the bone yard to get it.
I plan to buy the glass and the aluminum frame together unlsee the boat bone yard determines this glass is priceless, then I'll take my frame and damaged glass to the glass repair shop...

Thanks in advance,

Joe in St. Pete

I think there is one at checker marine in lasalle mi also, google it.

1956OLDS,

Were you searching for a set of grab rails for your weekender? I was in a boat junkyard today (awesome collection of treasure), learned how to get the glass I needed, and managed to get to my marina and replace my broken pc. Anyway, the 300 Weekender I was removing the glass from had a set of stainless grab rails that are in nice shape, need to polish and install. Let me know if your interested, the bone yard will pull them and ship them. I plan to replace mine with "plasteake" soon. I'll post some pics of the project.

Thanks,

Joe
