i just got a carver and i need to move it from pymatuning to sandusky and i do not have a truck to move it with. renting one is rediculous. i have full insurance and a good record, would also return with more gas than it had in it and would be washed.
 
Did you try Enterprise Truck and Hertz Equipment? I looked into this a few months ago and the prices seemed reasonable, but neither place allowed out-of-state travel, so I couldn't do it. I think Hertz requires that you rent as company with corporate insurance coverage.
 
You might have better luck if you asked for someone with a diesel pickup to do the tow for you and you provide the fuel, lunch and some ka-ching for their time.

I'd probably do that but there's no way I'd loan my truck out to someone I didn't know so he could tow a boat he bought sight unseen and likely doesn't know the condition of the trailer, etc.

Just sayin'.

actually id prefer that someone towed it, i should have worded it differently, and this boat was not bought site unseen, that was my searay which surveyed well and i knew the owner. this boat had a very nice trailer that has new brakes.
 
Why don't you tow it with your other vehicle? You know, the Klingon Bird of Prey? That should do it. :smt043

Surely, you guys have to give him an A for effort, it was a nice try. Plus I think he said it was only going to cost about $260 to hire a truck etc., anyway:)
 
$260 to rent a truck , but now i cant get the permit any way so ill probably have to hire a driver anyways, yes i was trying to do this on the cheep. so at any rate if someone wants to shoot me an a hauling price im willing to entertain offers.
 
Why not put it in the water and run it down to sandusky?Lot more fun than towing.
