310 nope. the 230 yes.

will spend more time on it this winter than we do in the summer.

I may go out the end of Oct but for all intent purposes I'm done for the year. Now comes the winter upgrades. I’m really looking forward to some cool mods if the money stays flowing. Must get a marine research grant from Obamanomics to do the really neat stuff though. I'm having a hard time shrinking down stainless steel through the transom exhaust headers to fit in the itemizes needs list on the grant application.

Maybe I’ll use “alloy climate transfer system” and put it in the green research section. That aught to get the cash flowing.

yes i winterize, well i keep it stored heated indoors, but i dont get to use it so well call it winterizing.....

How to deal.....heavy drinking....LOL :smt101

I really want to be able to take the boat out in the snow this year.

Take it out in the snow, are you kidding? I once showed a boat that I was selling to a guy who wanted to see it on the only day of the year that it snowed. I almost froze to death. I had every intention of killing him if he didn't buy the boat. He had his checkbook and I had my 45. His checkbook beat my draw!!!

First year with a boat and I had (have) the joy of winterizing.... OOOOHHH WHAT FUN !....NOT !!!!

First of all, it makes me wish that my doctor would up my prozac prescription because the depression of knowing that another winter
( I HATE WINTER) is fast approaching and all the joys that come with the cold, frozen white stuff

And secondly, the thrill to know that for the next six months I will only be able to cuddle and rub my baby while she sits in the bay of my garage where my truck usually sits, waiting to be introduced into her native enviroment in the spring makes me want to jump from a very tall object.

Looking forward to endless hours of bonding with her while I polish her like a new minted penny.

I need to go find a very high cliff to jump off of now....SIGH :smt089

We stay in the water with a bilge heater, camper top up and a space heater in the cockpit for the cold nights. Last winter was abnormally cold and we did fine. We will get a number of warm spells during the winter when its beautiful to be out on the water. Plus, going to "check on the boat" on the weekends gives me some mental health time.

Pulled out on Sunday. dropped off for heated storage. will definately get bootom paint this year.

All I do to winterize mine is blow out the fresh water system and pour some pink stuff down the heads. .

We boat all winter so I keep the boat heated during the winter. I put a BoatSafe heater in the engine room and a small ceramic heater in the lazarette and keep the heat on in the boat. We also open all cabinet doors, drawers and access panels so the heat can get to all areas of the boat.

On 11/6 I'm going to change the oil & filters on both engines and genset, check the Racors, etc., to make sure it's ready for winter.

I did the tune-up in early fall & changed fluids & filters. Genset's good to go. I use a thermostat controlled ceramic heater in the cabin, air dryer in the mid-berth, and open all doors to storage areas, "pink" the sinks & toilet, turn on the bilge heater, put up the camper tops, get out the sleeping bags, bring the "Big Buddy" heater for the cockpit, and keep on boating thru the winter. Our winters are not so bad except for the occasional ice storms we might get around Jan-Feb-Mar.

Our boat stays in a lift and all I do if we are gonna have a really cold night is drain the block into the bilge and make sure the boatsafe heater is working. I also use a temperature controlled heater in the cabin to keep stuff warm in there.

We use our boat alot in the winter as the black canvas acts just like a natural heater on cold sunny days here in SC. We have some friends from WI and MN and they always ask me when the lake will be icing up?

I don't think they believe me when I tell them it doesn't....

We live in Beautiful Lake Havasu City Az.we get to play all year with the winter temp. on average 65-70 woo hoo

Welcome to the board! I'm okay with the "Rub-it-in" post..................sure I am!........:smt013 Hey, wait, a '78 300? How about a picture?

I could boat thru the winter, but, not going to. Last winter was really cold. Had to break about a 6" ice pack around the boat.

My offical boating position 'till April -

San Juans at least twice between now and summer. Tailgating the Husky games:
We keep our boat on Lake Union in Seattle so it serves as a condo as well. We go out a few times a month even if it is just a lap around the lake and tie up for dinner. Then back to the slip and spend the night.

Ok, Ok, I don't usually answer these, but we had to winterize twice this year. We forgot to take the space heater out of the attic so we had to buy another one on our Sea Food Festival trip this past weekend.
