I'm getting damned tired of being bombarded by political ads on TV, the radio, the newspapers.

So now, when I log on here I'm also getting bombarded by them. Give me a freaking break from these ads, will ya? :smt013:smt013:smt013:smt013

If you have a sponsorship you don't have to see them.

Only a few more days and hopefully we will be through with them for a while....unless the dems decided to challenge every election in order to steal it, then we will hear about nothing else for six months.

Just as long as they lose. I don't know what would be worse, they win the election or what will happen on this board for the next 2 years.

Or get Firefox with ad blocker. :smt001
Works for me on 100% of the sites that I go on. :smt024

Yup. Something has to pay the hosting fees for sites like this...it isn't free!

It's good that you don't have to see them if you pony up and sponsor directly. Nice move!

Thank the majority of the Supreme Court for gutting the McCain Feingold Act for part of your misery. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bipartisan_Campaign_Reform_Act

I wouldn't mind the polical ads - if they were educational. I would love to hear what each of the candidates beliefs and platforms are.

What I do NOT want to hear is them making up crap and taking stuff out of context about their opponent. I choose not to believe any of it. Whether I should or not.

You know, if you can't say something nice about someone...

Anyway, we listen to sat radio (no ads), and only watch shows on the DVR (30 second skip button). And newspapers, well, they are just one big advertisement anyway.

Yes they do state a lot of things that are out of context. For Instance; In SC Governors race: the ads say that the opponent does not file their taxes on April 15th and gets an extension and waits all the way until October 15th to file their taxes.

Well first of all, this person is an accountant as my wife is. Accountants are the last one's to get hteir taxes done. And everything this person states is lawful. but the common person sees this as illegal. I can tell you our taxes never get done until October 15th.

So don't run for office!
They talking about Nikki Haley? What is the spread right now? I know her brother.

Same stuff here in KY. Rand Paul running for US Senate. his opposition says "Rand Paul wants to raise your sales tax to 23%" and provides a date and where the source is from. What they don't tell you is we wants to eliminate income tax. I guess there are enough idiots out there to believe these as truths.

Last I heard she was up by 11% with 10% undecided. THe people that vote around here really scare me! :wow::wow::wow:

Yeah. .. . most candidates actually try to HIDE their beliefs and platforms.

and instead promise things that they KNOW they can't deliver.
