Not to start anything, but what's the point of a boat with beds, and a kitchen if you always stay at the dock at night? A pontoon boat will get me out on the water and back, and a hell of a lot cheaper than a Ray.
IMO, you're not starting anything. But I do have a differing opinion. We spend every or every other weekend at our boat. We have done it for a few years now and have yet to spend a night on the hook. We take our boat out every weekend, sometimes for the entire day. However, come bedtime we like to have our bed, galley and head, regardless of whether we're at the dock or on the hook. We just prefer to have the comforts of electric and water hook up, as well as not having to stress about storms on the big lake or how well the anchor held. Bottom line, I don't see the relevance in your point, it doesn't matter where you're tying your boat up...if you plan on over-nighting, the "bed and kitchen" are a must.
