Discover Boating

That is kind of funny. When we bought our boat 3 years ago we weren't even planning on buying. Somehow or another we ended up in our local boat dealers showroom...probably because my wife was sick of listening to me whine. Once we got inside the showroom the tables turned and my wife was begging me to buy a boat. Prior to that day she would just say "no, we don't need a boat". Needless to say we walked out 2 days later as first time boat owners. The first year was an excellent boating year but our lives have gotten busier and now it seems like we never get out there anymore.

I ragged on my wife for about a month or 2 and then we went to the local boat show. After we saw how affordable owning a boat was, we ordered one on the spot. Deffinately one of our smartest investments. I am sure we will be upgrading to a larger boat within the next year or 2 though.

After happily boating in Southern Cal and then Las Vegas (Lake Mead), we sold our 24' Sea Ray while living in Fresno, CA for 2 years. Within 2 months of moving to Sacramento and seeing the Delta, my wife whispered in my ear, "We need another boat." I equate that to, "Wanna get lucky."

On the Discover Boating website there is a video called "A Great Run". It's very cool and reminded me why I will have a boat until I die. Everyone should watch it.
