Dinghy Ramp installed

I had the Weaver davits on the boat when I bought it and found they did not work well with my boat so I replaced with the Dinghy Ramp XL.http://www.dinghyramp.com/dinghyram...p-content/uploads/2008/04/dinghyramp_xl_1.jpg Before the dock lines would rub and was tearing the cover. I also had to remove the engine every time to stow it which eventually would end up in drink anyway so I made the change.

It launches so easy the first time it went flying off and under the dock. I am also getting a new cover made too. I am very happy with the system.

Looks like a nice system but I would worry a bit about the fastening system used. Looks like the weight of the dinghy when retrieving is put upon the 4 small stainless steel screws on the forward stanchion located on the swim platform? Those screws look awfully small from the photos I see on their site...?

It's very solid. The way I have it set up it will support 400 pounds. The dinghy is about 180 pounds and I can stand in it to clean and cover(I'm 155) with no issue at all. The screws are 1/4" ss. I also found out the platform is not cored with wood, it is solid fiberglass. This boat is built like a tank.
I was very impressed with the ramp. High quality! Easy to use and I don't remove engine anymore.
