I used the suction cup style red/green up front and a transom-clamp style white all around for several years on my Zodiak. Zero complaints. Maybe $40 all-in?
What are you using for lights on your dinghy?
I’d prefer not to spend $100 + for lights that would be used infrequently.
many ideas?
Bill.
I think given the size of the typical dinghy a white light on a transom pole probably is enough.
I think it has to with where you boat. I can get away with a clamp on the transom led white light.
I have nav lights but no where to fasten it the bow…. The suction cups are useless you mine as well just throw them overboard… that’s where they are going to end up
That’s usually what knocks it offYou gotta get it wet before you stick it, @Blueone ..
I have this setup the way @Strecker25 describes. The lights aren't USCG legal but unless someone is hell-bent on pulling you over at night in your dinghy, they serve the purpose. They are visible.I have a pole on the stern and I think I'm going to hang these off the bow handles on either side
