Dinghy Help for my 280DA

I have a HP-275 dinghy this time around for my boat. Pretty happy with it although we have only used it a few times. BTW, there is no way that you should put more than a 3 HP outboard on this dinghy. I use an electric motor which is also stored under the floorboards.

Well I have to replace a Quicksilver Airbed tender due to the seams giving out on it. I can only assume that they were glued and not welded seams. Anyway I have decided to go with a RIB design and was looking at a fibreglass RIB around 2.4 metres that would take the 5 hp outboard I have.

So I am down to two that are in the running which are the:

1. Swift 2.6 metre Aluminium hull

or

2. Seabat 2.71 metre with fibreglass hull and deck

Well, I loved my old cheap sevylor, but now upgraded to a Saturn SD290 - 9'6" long. The principle reason was the wife would not get in the hunting boat and go to shore for exploring. Oh well. Maybe she will now.

This thread was very helpful and I thank you.
