For any of you guys that have Diesels in your boat and want to learn more about them, there is a company - Mack Boring that offers classes on diesel maintenance. I took the class last Friday, here is Massachusetts and it was really great info and will be very helpful for basic maintenance. Mack Boring is based in NJ, but offer classes in areas around the Northeast. They are a Yanmar dealer, so most of the examples and demos were based on Yanmars.....but almost all of the info applies whether you have CATs, Cummins, etc. This same class was written up in either Power and Motor Yacht or Power Crusing last month. They also offer a 3 day hands on class, but I only took the one day. For those of you that already do most of your own maint.....this class would be a waist of time, but for any of you that are new to owning a diesel boat (like me), it's a good way to learn.

****I am not in any way affiliated with Mack Boring**** This is just simply my opinion.

Do you have a web site link or phone # for them? I am taking delivery of my first diesel Thursday, and would love to learn a bit more of the technical stuff on the boat. I wish I had known about the Boston class....but I guess I missed it!
