Most excellent post Frank!! Your insight into ULSD and LSD is text book and the additives you recommend are top notch.

I concur. Great article and good information on the brands/products to keep the fuel clean and the boat running. More stuff to add to my list of stuff to pick up on my next trip to the "boat stuff" store.
 
I've put 650 hours on my C Series Cummins over 5 seasons, and about the same number of hours on my Onan (Kubota) diesel generator. I've followed Frank's diesel fuel management advice to the letter since I took delivery of the boat. Once I got the fuel system cleaned over the first 20 hours of use in the first season of ownership (again, following Frank's advice) I have never had a fuel related issue.
