I too am optimistic about the future, but worried about the present. MM

OK Mike here’s my 2 cents.

I think because we worry about the present our future can be bright. If we make the right choices now with the info we have in hand then we can build a strong case for a better future. Even with the economy and political challenges we have, it's the daily adjustments that keeps our way of life moving forward.

Is everything alright in the world? No. But I don't want to live in the last century either. I like the advancement that we have made in science, technology and social networking.

We are at a point in our society where we are only limited by our ability to know how to apply all that we have available to us. It's not in the learning but in the application of what we learn that will either hurt or help us.

To me it means two things:

1) Try as we may to change it, we only make the this trip once. Stop to smell the roses every so often.

2) If the rate of growth was correct, the data presented at the beginning of the presentation was out of date by the end.
