This is my first time with an open loop cooling system, just bought the boat this summer. 98 210 br with 5.0 efi.
I pulled the 5 blue plugs and drained all the water. My thermostat housing has never been taken off. The orginal black paint has never been distrubed.
I pulled the h2o pump hose off and drained it. I then pulled all four hoses off the tstat housing and dumped 50/50 antifreez h20 in them. about 1/2 gallon down the water pump hose.
I'm in central OH, usually worst is zero or a bit below.
Am I good to go? my book says something about powersteering but i don't see a drain on it, looks like by draining the other points, you drain that also.
(i did the rest also, oil change, fog ,etc)
