I'll start...

Garmin Hat
Quimby's River Guide
Astronaut Pen (writes upside down and underwater, for plotting position when going down with ship I suppose)

Guess the wife is a keeper!

I got ice fishing stuff. thats close enough lol.

Hello all,

I got a neat looking Captians Hat. Problem is I can't wear it anywhere because I was told not to get it dirty. Kind of takes the fun out of it. Oh, and new spark plug wires. As far as an Astronaut pen, I use the Russian version, a pencil :)

Santa was good this year! New Lowrance GPS, stereo + speakers and a horn that hopefully doesn't have the SR 'quack'....

I kinda got boat stuff...

I got this kick butt new camera lens:

But I got it last night and I played around with it and zoomed in on one of my boys during the family Christmas shots in which he showed me what he got me:

And this morning I got these:

Note they are Goldtoe All Day Comfort series with Exo-fx and Cotton-Hemp Blend, Natural Comfort, Sustainable Resource and "All Day Comfort (TM)"

Gary - return the book - keep the socks though :)

No boating stuff this year...but I didn't ask for any - so I am sure that was part of it... Last year I got a nice life raft.. have been wanting one...gave the parents the guilt trip - and so they got that for me...ha ha! It still works :) Thining about it - should have tried to get them to cover dock fees this year

I got the "sea ray wearables" Christmas....Now, i am not a brand "pusher" but I got some sweet Sea Ray travel mugs with a leather sleeve, and sea ray tumblers and a t shirt... Shit, I guess I am a brand pusher.
I also got a Wii Fit, and the people that developed it need some sensitivity training! :)
Merry Christmas everyone

I got one of those for my wifes Nikon300 and 70... you will love that lens. She takes concert photos and NEVER has to use a flash with that lens... Amazing!

This year, I got an Ipod 32gig from her and got her an Ipod 16 gig... I ended up with the 16 and she got the 32... how did that happen?

I received a Garmin 545 Plotter, Blue Ray player, and some clothes. I made out like a bandit!!

By the way Gary, that is a sweet lens. Super fast! I didn't know you were into photography? What do you shoot with? I love amateur photography myself. I've read several good books on photography... if you're interested I could find the titles. I don't know if you're a member, but a good site for photo stuff is www.dpsreview.com

Gary,

I got that lens about 3 years ago with my D70, it is one of Nikons best. I have taken some images at the 12 Hours of Sebring Sports car race that look like magazine shots, using the VR in panning mode...superb lens. Got some of my youngest daughter wakeboarding...same result. If you want a cheap 50mm lens to play with, get the plastic 1.8f 50mm from B&H. This was Nikon's attempt at a cheap lens for the low cost cameras, so they used cheap glass and a simple lens design. Well this lens is tack sharp everywhere because the cheap glass help correct some of the design flaws/tradeoffs. Also another good addition (not cheap though) is the SB800 flash.

I didn't get any boat stuff from Santa, just some cloths and things..but did get tickets to see the Eagles in Jan!!!

My wife was going to get me socks until she looked in the drawer and saw that I already had two pair. She got me a calendar with Lake Superior pics instead.

My wife and I bought ourselves a new (new to us) 1997 330 Sundancer for Christmas. Family members gave us cash, so we could get the little things to go with it, coffee maker, toaster oven, etc.

Is it summer yet????

I got the newest edition of Chapman Piloting and Seamanship.....SWEET!!

Gary is not amateur! He takes excellent pictures of injured toes, raging fires and overstuffed doggie doo doo bag dispensers!

With that lens we will probably be able to see which blood vessels are actually damaged.

My soon to be wife paid the slip fee for the year Makes me feel bad all I got her was a new coat and a pair of boots

You should have told her that you were calling off the wedding after you opened your present. That would have been really funny.. And taken a picture of her face right after after she read your "break up" letter...

I'm about 2 levels below amateur on the photography thing. I have a Nikon D50 (second one) but some of the pictures I've taken on the boat can be a little fuzzy for obvious reasons. I've never had anyone pay me for pictures but I have had people pay me to not show some pictures. That's still amateur... right?
