Went to the boat show today. The only "bigger boats" shown were Sea Ray, Formula and Bayliner, etc.. I was disappointed that there were no Mercruiser displays (either outdrives or engines) or bow thruster reps. or any other vendors showing "mechanical" items. However, there was an AC/heater and generator display. Has anyone seen any of these shown at other boat shows?

The Miami Boat show had MANY of these vendors there this past weekend.

Baltimore was about the same as yours. Very few vendors selling anything for boats at all. DC boat show cancelled, they say because of economy, I think they meant there economic state in our snow storm! No one would have been able to get to it except for those in walking distance.

Not a real good year for boat show in the north anyway.

I agree, the boat show wasn't as good as in the past.

I went friday and saturday. It was even better saturday when it was open. We got all the way own town on friday night and realized it didn't start till saturday. I didn't even look at my tickets until we got to cobo and the garage was closed.

The Toronto Boat Show was the best show I have ever been to.....lots of vendors and lots of boats! We live 15 mins from the Detroit, MI Border and I'm not even sure if I'm going to go this year.

I don't think i would have went if i had to pay for a ticket. 6 dollars a beer was enough of a money waster lol.

Grand Rapids looks like mostly can boats, small runabouts, floating docks salesmen and other vendors. You can see the same boats in the showrooms of the marinas. Why pay?
