Detroit Boat Show (cobo)

like i said we will probably go to greektown afterwards,i havent been to fishbones in 7 or 8 years.I love the catfish atchafalaya, gumbo yaya and gator tail appetizer.

Let me know what day and maybe we can do a small CSR meetup

I plan on going. It's close to home and I like checking out the new Sea Ray's. Plus it's the closest thing to boating in mid February around here.
I advise not to order any food, not much to choose from and it's horrible! Eat before you go.

Hey neighbor!

I'm G241.

We'll have to meet up this summer after the splash.

Thinking saturday the 16th around 10;30,then to greektown around 2ish,linda cant be on her feet too long her back was broken 8 yrs ago and isnt ever going to be right again.I would think that is enough time to see the vendors and the nicer boat lines.I wont be looking at fishing boats or pontoons much.We mostly need to get out of the house and boat related is as good a way as any.It will motivate me to start buffing and waxing. So anybody wants to, sounds good, especially after reading all the other winter rondevous threads on here.Saturday isnt set in stone but id like to do it the 16th or 17th.Glen

Went a couple years ago, Once you get through all the people begging for money on the front steps it was not too bad of a show.

It took me 10 years to get to the 290. You're way ahead of me.

Ok i am going ,parking on cobo roof if i get lucky enough, then taking people mover to greektown fishbones restraunt around 2;30 pm.Tgreen i will send you my cell # give me a shout.the wifes son and his wife are going to meet us at the restraunt .any one else interested in meeting up with some scr people from michigan pm a cell and we can find a place to meet or lets say noon at the searay info booth.Glen

Be careful of scamers. If you park on roof top of Cobo: you pay at the top. Some time the scamers will stop vehicles at the bottom of the ramp and collect the money and when you get on top you will have to pay again. The police try to control this but sometimes it happens.

Went last two years and very disappointed. Very few venders. The Sea Ray and Meridian boats were from my local dealer that I saw at their show room so nothing new.

mabey thats why they sell show boats at a reduced price.figure they will make it up on the next one and the warranty money they will make.Anyway the show is advertised to be larger than the last few useing two halls instead of just one.I am not really looking to buy a boat,a new one anyway but want to see the vendors and the newer layouts and amenities available that i could use as upgrades on my current boat or.....

was considering the detroit show but Lucky and I are doing Grand Rapids instead on Sunday

Yeah i know ,if we hadnt made plans id be seeing you .Ive wanted to meet both of you guys since reading all of your posts on upgrades and boat dealings.Glen PS have fun!!!!
