Checked it out today. Hadn't gone since I displayed a 67 Fairlane 30 years ago. Some really nice vehicles. Barry Meguiar was there today.

We were there Sat as well. My son and I had a blast. Amazing the creations from these builders minds. Even the crazy rat rodders downstairs.

I really wanted to get there this year, but I had some conflicts in the schedule. I really need to get that on the calendar earlier so it dominates the decisions for that weekend.

I wish they would actually curtain off the Ridley contenders so that you see just that car and none of the background "distractions". Just a curtain on two sides. Think of it more like an art museum with the separate rooms for some of the displayed pieces. Nothing else to distract from just that one you're currently looking at.

It's amazing the work that goes into these cars - even the non-Ridley cars. My HS used to enter a car every year I was there and those kids took a lot of pride when they presented the car and usually came home with some kind of award.

Most are well over a million dollars to build. He has a ton tied up in the display they created.
