Desolation sound and the gulf islands

So once again this summer my wife and I set out for our annual 3 week cruise on the west coast. This was the first trip for our new to us 260 DA. The previous years we did the trip in a 230 DA. I have to say having a bit bigger of a boat made the trip more enjoyable.
We hauled the boat from Calgary and launched in Cates park in North Vancouver.

The weather for the first few days was kinda unsettled and had some wind and rain.

And up to princes Louisa Inlet

Of course you can’t go to Princes Louisa inlet without taking a picture of chatterbox falls

Last evening of clouds. After this it was sunny

Out of the tree weeks we spent only 3 days in a marina in Comox. All the other night we were on the hook.

Great pics, but surely after a 3 week cruise you have more you could share? That's one of the most beautiful cruising areas in the world. I can't wait to get up there, and Princess Louisa Inlet is on the list of must see places.

nice pictures! we're doing Desolation the 2nd weekend in August next year. Princess Louisa is high on my list...not sure why we havent been there yet, it's only a 2 hour cruise from home.

That's some great stuff you guys post. I show my wife the pics some of you post of out there and more than once she has said maybe we could tow our boat out there some time. I think my 6.0 gasser would be used up by the time I got there. :lol:

Wow, absolutely beautiful. I think I would prefer that scenery to what we have here in Florida any day. Of course there is a trade off, but that's incredible. **jealous**
