Depth Gauge Problem

The Lowrance 3500 that is installed in my 1996 23' Signature Select loses the signal at about 7' and won't read anything and just flashes...just when I need it the most!

Unless it is something simple like a loose wire, or crud on the transducer face, you are now in the market for a new depth gauge and transducer. Lowrance no longer supports the 3500, has no parts, will not repair, and to top that off the transducer frequency is no longer used by anyone (including Lowrance).
