I have a 2002 280 Sundancer. The digital depth gage on dash is not readable, some lines show some don't. Does anyone know where I get a replacement? I want to keep orginal style, really dont want new modern type, they just don;t blend in with orginal gages. Anyone know where I could find one?

Unfortunately, they have not been made for many years and Lowrance does not have a replacement. In any event you will also have to change out the transducer. Lowrance used a unique frequency for their sounder sand transducers. They have since shifted over to be compatible with the rest of the world. I think it was a VHS vs Betamax thing and Lowrance ended up in the Betamax category.

You can try eBay, but you will be buying used and the odds are whatever you buy may be as bad as what you have because the LCD displays all failed like yours.

When mine failed the simplest solution I could find was the Raymarine ST40 depth gauge and Airmar transducer. Although the ST40 has a rectangular face the body is actually round and the same diameter as the existing hole.

Is it a Lowrance 3500 unit? I have one that I can send you. It was working when I removed it to install a different system. Let me know if you want it and I will send it out.

Pete.

Yes it is a Lowrance 3500. How much do you want for it? Willing to try anything right now.

Pete, do you still have it or did you send it to Bob?
