Last weekend we went for a short run up the creek. My old Lorance depth finder seemed to be searching for it's depth, flashing 7' . Then it just shut down and now nothing, it won't even come on. Where and what should I be looking at here...the unit or the transducer? It's getting power at the unit.

Hate to say it, but that sounds terminal. I'd recommend checking on the Lowrance website to see if they still support your depth sounder. If they don't, then there are no parts available, other than finding something used. Lowrance also used a different frequency for their older transducers than they (and the rest of the marine electronics industry) use now. If you have one of the older models with the non standard frequency, then it doesn't matter what's broken, its time for a comlete replacement.

I had that feeling, I just needed someone else to tell me that. I had higher hopes. Thank you for the advise, very much
