Depth Finder Replacement options

Within the past seven days I sold my boston whaler 15 foot supersport and purchased a 1999 185 Bowrider. The new to me boat has only 135 hours and looks great.

The humming bird depth finder with a stern mounted transducer does not seem to work. It is getting power and I can set the depth alarm but it will not register the water depth.

Any suggestions for a replacement. Would like to find a gauage that incoporates air and water temp to if possible.

My family and I are looking foward to next spring to really start using this boat.

Try to troubleshoot your's first. It might be a problem that would cause a problem with the next one. I was researching these and air temp is a stretch but water temp was a common feature.

Check on the Humminbird site for more info or just google it.

Sounds like it might be a bad transducer, or the wiring going to the transducer. I would check the connections going to the back of the gauge and feel the entire cable going to the transducer to see if its cut or has nicks in it. Is this a dash mount round gauge or a LCD?
