I just had the distributor cap and water psi sensor replaced and the bottom power washed. Next time I take the boat out, the depth finder and water temp don't show up on the SmartCraft readings. Did a master reset but no help. The odd thing is the depth and water temp don't even show up on the SC. If they showed up and had faulty readings, then maybe it may be the transducer.

Any suggestions?

Your Smartcraft manual will tell you how to do this but you must first get the Tachometer into Calibration Mode. Then you can toggle thru the various available displays until you get to the Depth display. You need to select "yes" in order to get the depth gauge to display.

I am not sure what happened to your SC system but it is pretty easy to get the displays you want to show up. If you don't have a SC manual you can download a pdf version here. http://www.mercurymarine.com/_media/pdfs/precisionrigging/smartcraft_manuals/System_Tach_and%20Speed_Manual.pdf

Thanks. Just returned from boat and had to re-calibrate (Cal 1) to get it on. Turns out that having my water psi sensor changed caused the SC to reset itself and turn off the depth sounder.
