How do you feel about the ER access on the 330?

Doug,
You have to see the ER in the 330 with I/O to believe it. I have seen pictures of the 330 with V-D and I get all the gripes, but the I/O boat is a completely different layout. I'll have to post some pictures. Access is very good, except at the rear of the engines. Space is amazing. Foot placement is abundant. The generator has 3 sides exposed. All 5 batteries are easy in and out and very accessable for maintenance. I wouldn't want to be the one to have to change a manifold, but the routine stuff is easy on this boat.

Well, I guess I spoke too soon. I was wrong, as the financing just went through. We have final approval, sign docs and close on Monday, and take delivery in San Diego on 8/22.

One final night on the 290 (our first larger boat), and we have to give it up for good. It will be a sad day. The mourning has already begun. Hopefully the joy of the new 36 will compensate.

There will be a very nice '07 290DA (with only 52 hours on the mains) for sale at the San Diego MM soon.

Congratulations! It was sad saying good bye to our 290 also. You will be much better off in the 36DB. You'll love those diesels. What a great boat. Enjoy!

No diesels on this one. Couldn't justify the extra expense for the hours we'll put on it.

Wow...another loss to the late model 290 club:smt089:smt089:smt089

Looks like I need to get another job so I can keep up with you guys:grin::grin::grin:

Congrats!!!!

We just quit spending money on absolutely EVERYTHING but the boat. Can you say Boat Poor? It was just too good of a deal to pass up.

Seriously, I'll miss a TON about the 290, especially the payment. I'm shedding a tear right now...

The nice thing is, I'll be able to squeeze the 36 into a 35' slip, and only have to pay $100 more/month. Much better than $200/month more for a 40', which are harder to come by.

Hopefully you'll join us soon Nick.

Sheesh Pete.....It will be getting pretty quiet in the 290 room pretty soon...
I'm not selling any of my other toys though....Warm season is only 6 months tops here...

Yes I've been to SD a few times. In fact just last May. We enjoyed the "May Gray"..(not really).
Nice town we like it...Had dinner @ the Strip Club....very cool too.

Ah, Gas Lamp Strip Club. I've never eaten there, but walk by it almost nightly when we're there. Our marina is on the bay a few block over, at the Marriott, so we spend A LOT of time in the Gaslamp. We love it there!

Was supposed to take delivery on the 36 last weekend. The crane broke so they couldn't put the hard top on and finish the rigging. Apparently, there's only one crane in San Diego:huh:

So, I spent the weekend on the old boat, and ran around on some free gas and boat hours. Keeping my fingers crossed for this weekend.

Good luck! This has been an interesting thread.

I have to ask because I am too lazy to look it up, but what are these boats going for new these days?

About 330, less the $75K rebate that seems to be in effect now.

I wish I had thought to contact you. We were kinda bored as our "conference trip" was should I say...Scaled back.
The strip club is worth a look...(Why were there so many hot women there?)

It's not just the "Strip Club". They are crawling all over the Gaslamp district. Next time, give me a call. We're only there about once/month, however...

I was out for a conference in 2007 with my business partners when the Pats played the Charges, we bought tickets to the game, blew off the conf all week and spent most of our time in the Gaslamp district. We stayed at the Marriott, the marinas in a great location.
When we got home one of my partners spent 2 days in the hospital, what a great city.
