I would like to upgrade my standard equipment galvanized plow anchor on my 2004 340 to a 22# Delta stainless anchor. I know $$, but they look nice so what can I say. My problem is the dimensions are different on the Delta than the oddball brand SR puts on, basically the hook in the shank to the point is longer than the stock anchor thus the point will hit the hull before the anchor seats on the rollers. The SR parts list calls the anchor chute an ‘anchor davit’, I have searched online quite a bit and cannot find what SR installs as an anchor davit standard, wondering if custom made for SR? What I need is a slightly longer anchor chute, ‘davit’, that will give me the clearance I need for the Delta. Has anyone seen what SR installs anywhere for sale? Next weekend I intend to look at some larger SRs with measuring tape in hand to see if I can identify one from a larger boat that might work but not the most efficient path forward. Any help appreciated, dealer was little help as he didn't have any dimensions for the ones on other boats.
