Bought a new Sea Ray 6 months ago. Contacted Sea Ray about some warranty related issues. No response. Needed a couple parts that wore prematurely and the dealer I bought from advises me to call Sea Ray. Sea Ray says they don't sell to the public and points me in the direction of the big 3 internet sites, none of which have the parts for my boat. This after the sale treatment really sucks. Bought in 2021 and it seems everyone just takes your money and runs these days. This will be my last boat and I'll tell yeah, for all of the reputation Sea Ray stands on through the years, I don't see it when it comes to treating a "valued" customer well. Should've bought a Bay Liner.
The supply chain issues are real. And crap rolls down hill. If it's not the raw material, it's the transportation, if not transportation, it's people not showing up for work, etc. etc. As I tell my customers, I can't make what I don't have.Business has changed and it's not just Sea Ray, it's everywhere. No one wants to work and no one cares about anyone except themselves. Companies in general are sickening the way they have adopted the new standard of crap. I would think service businesses would still care, but most do not from what I have seen. Very sad state of affairs for sure.
I know there are still good companies out there, but they are very far and few between and since COVID, twice as hard to find.
Now back to your thread, as asked what are you looking for?

Well, I have to express a positive experience. Defender Inc, has been fabulous customer service with my recent Zodiac purchase. Emails and phone calls returned within the hour. Resolved every paperwork and question I had. Very satisfied with them.
So here's the thing. We are one of those. If you're not an "A" customer, you'll get what you get when you get it. Mouth off to us and your order goes to the bottom of the pile -- payback's a bitch. Today, I can't give the same level of service to the guy who spends $1m vs. the guy who spends $1,000. We try to do the best we can but when everything is backlogged there just isn't enough flex in the system.Exactly, but I wasn't referring to lack of supply and/or supply chain issues, yes that is real. I was referring to eh lack of people wanting to work, companies not caring what customers think or want and basically say take it or leave it. I have experienced this so much in the past two years I can't even comment on it, but I guess I just did. I do hear a lot that no one can get people to do the work.
Of course there are exception to every rule and there are businesses that still do care, just not as many as there once was.

You need to go thru your dealer. Keep pushing them to order the proper part and install it for you. In these time, you'll need to be persistant. Good luck.I had a used Sea Ray. It was old and it taught me a lot. So I decided to buy a new boat in October 21. I bought a 190 SPX. I like it, but I am having an issue with the rear bench seat. There is a grommet in a hole that is ripped prematurely. It won't secure. So when I tow it it goes up and down in my rear view mirror like Cookie Monster. Some other things have come losse in the 3 times I have been out, but I've managed to fix them with parts from the hardware store. This latch set is not universal and specific to the seat. The dealer sent me to Sea Ray. Sea Ray sent me to the 3 internet sites, none of which have this part. I contacted my local Marine Max. Her voice mail says to send her an email for fast service....that was 4 days ago. No answer and it's always a voicemail when you call. I can't believe it's this hard to source a part for a new boat. No one wants to help me including Sea Ray. They took my money and don't give a crap. They also never responded to my email inquiry about a warranty related issue on their contact support submission form...it's a black hole. This is terrible. I can only imagine what would not happen if I had a critical warranty related issue. Their warranty is worthless as far as I'm concerned and I'm absolutely disgusted by the lack of regard by Sea Ray, my purchase dealer and MarineMax. What a crappy after the sale experience. I will never buy a new boat again and should I size up, it won't be a Sea Ray.
