I have a two battery, shore power charger set up I think pretty common to many models of Sea Rays.

Should I use deep cycle or cranking batteries for this set up or will either be okay?

Battery 1 is my cranking battery and it is just that. Battery 2 are my house batteries-2-Grp 31 deep cycle batteries.

Ejbpesca,

i would use (2) deep cycle batteries. A deep cycle battery should have enough cracking amps to start your engines and it's always nice to have the extra reserve you get from a deep cycle. Never really understood why some folks take up a battery slot with a single tasker like a starter battery or one of those dual purpose things! Just my 2 cents!

good luck!
