We're looking for a deck vent starboard side for 2008 Sundancer 280. Apparently there is a big issue with the deck vents coming off while the boat's in use. We purchased the boat with the vent missing and thought we could just get a replacement. That has not happened and any help you could provide will be greatly appreciated.

here is a link to the parts book for your year and model,

So you are looking for the engine room vent cover on page 5 item 9 ?

That would appear to be a custom Sea Ray part going to be difficult to locate.
I assume you have contacted Sea Ray already?

Yes they have the part, unpainted and over $500.
Jump on it & don't look back! Lol
I crushed one of mine in a rough seas bump on a pier. Could not locate it anywhere. I was eventually able to borrow one from a great member here & had my fiberglass guy make a mold from it. Then I had a custom one fabricated. If I could've just bought one & skipped the headache, it would've been a no brainer. Good luck!

You are going to be able to augment your retirement income nicely by fabricating replacements for the thousands of 330 owners whose covers will eventually break or fall off. You wanna sell me your mold at your cost plus 15%?

Ok I'm off to buy a 3D printer. Not ready to ready to retire yet but planning ahead :D

Take the sea ray part number and run it through google.

Sometimes you find what you are looking for.

Haha! I don't have them & my fiberglass guy retired over the winter & moved to the Carolinas!! He's up there in years so it should not have surprised me. Good news is he should be up soon as I'm friends with his son & I'm gonna try & grab the molds. Also, since my fiasco another member here from the UK, Tony Clark, made plastic injection ones like the originals & was selling them. So much for my retirement millions! Lol

Also looking for starboard side deck vent cover for a 2004 Searay 280 Sundancer. Anybody figure out where to get one from other than a dealer yet???

Thanks!
