these are the pics from the davits,i added 2 stainless steel plates on the engine side of the bracket they are 3" by 46"
they make the bracket rigid.hard to see in the pic.but that bracket extends about 11" forward to the transom,drops down to 3",i added a quick snap to the swim platform to lock the davit in place.it makes loading the easy,as i push down with my foot on that bracket and lock it into place and the tie-off the dinghy. all the brackets are removable with a pull-pin. thanks "dom" :thumbsup:

Interesting approach and design. As with anything there are pros and cons. Comparing to what we see with other davits (like Dom's and similar) I've noticed that your ramps don't elevate the dinghy much from the water. I think that other davits provide more lift to have extra clearance. You know your boat and what you have may be just fine. The bracket that sits right in the middle of swim platform poses some danger to the feet everytime anyone walks by (specially kids). But other than that I think you've done great job. I like the extra fasteners. It's defenatelly solid looking setup.
