Dashbaord switches

That part number is wrong as a replacement for the OEM Sea Ray switch. It should be LT-1511-640-012

You already caught that the "6" means satin finish. The "40" part means the switch color is green/green and independent of the switch position. The indicator light will be tied to the navigation light switch, eg. illuminate when the nav lights are switched on.

Otherwise, yes, the switch will always be lit if completely wired.

You'll also need the lock washers and external nut to make a complete replacement.

The lock washer part no. is 728-15907.
The "Dress Face Nut (nickel)" part no. is 380-08810.

Actually, "40" is for blue, position dependant lamp.

30 is for the green, position dependant lamp.

With the independant lamp "03" and "3x" should work as well. The independant lamp can be wired in parallel with the load we are switching and we don't care what color it is when it is off... This opens up more part number options and could increase the likelyhood of finding parts in somebody's stock.
