Does anyone know where to get the dashboard toggle switches for an 06 Amberjack?

These are the stainless toggle type, with a green light at the end. According to the electical schematic, the manufacturer is Carling.

The standard switch is single pole, single throw. I'd take one of these, but I'd like to find a matching double pole, double throw. I'm adding a couple of red lights to the cockpit and would like to use a single switch for both the standard white lights and the new red lights.

I tried my dealer; the only DPDT they had was black for almost $50.

Google 1) Seachoice Contura and 2) Iboat. You'll probably find what you want.

That type of switches in an '06?? My '86 has that type. They are hard to find and grossly overpriced when you do. I figured all the newer boats used rocker switches.

Thanks for the tip. I checked iBoat already, and no dice. The Seachoice Contura is the wrong type of switch. That's a rocker switch; I need a toggle switch - small hole through dash and a short metal switch.

Nope, they are toggles. I guess Sea Ray went retro on the Amberjack.

I guess since it is marketed as a combo fish/cruise boat, the target market is less "luxury" than a DA. The toggles lend a kind of nice functional feel to the dash which I rather like. The switches take up less room, too.

Here's a pic from the manufacturer site:

The type I need is the chrome switch on the right. The tip has a light that glows when the nav lights are on.

I couldn't either. I actually have the OEM (Carling) item numbers by searching their product site, but haven't been able to get a line on where to purchase, either locally or on the 'net.

Oh, yeah. Sure. Here they are. I think these are all correct - the only question is the finish satin or bright chrome. I think it is satin.

All are satin chrome w/ blue light in the tip, 12 volt, .250 tab connector, maintained contact.

Manufacturer: Carling Technologies.

Single Pole, Single Throw (for most dash switches)
OEM Part: LT-1511-640-012
Sea Ray Part: 1757312

Double Pole, Single Throw (used for the Running Light switch)
OEM Part: LT-2511-640-012
Sea Ray Part: 1761354

Double pole, double throw, satin chrome
OEM Part: LT-2561-644-012
No Sea Ray Part

Single Pole, Double Throw
OEM Part: LT-1561-644-012
No Sea Ray part.

Fixed now.

Carling has a pretty good part no. scheme. Each section represents a different aspect of the part - LT for lighted toggle, then throw, connector type, light color, voltage, etc.

I did describe them as green initally, but changed the description and parts numbers on a subsequent edit.

The switches I have are greenish-blue (kind of like some old non-LED traffic lights) that I would have described as green absent anything else. I then saw a pic of a truly green light switch and realized that the switches I have are blue.

Okay, so, where can you buy the switches and how much do they cost? The number for the green lighted switch is LT 1511 535 012.
However, I don't think that the switches that you are looking at are the correct ones for the application you intend. The specs indicate that the light has three (3) illuminated positions ie: green-clear-clear. It seems like the light would be illuminated clear in the off position. The only way to turn it off would be to shut the batteries off. :smt021 Is that right or wrong? :smt009

The lamp terminals are independant from the switch terminals. They could be controlled by the switch itself or some other device. The lamp condition (on or off) is NOT tied to the switch position. The lamp color IS apparently tied to the switch position. I expect they use color filters inside the switch.

I am working on getting some of these from one of the commercial suppliers where I work.
