Dash lights

Does anyone know what lights up the lettering on the dash?. It looks like a paper fillament. Its on a 89 amberjack 270. Anyway its not lighting ujp.

They are light strips and you can get them at your dealer.

I worked out a better solution - rope lights! These are tiny lights in 1/4" clear tubing. Just silicon glue a strip behind the panel. Inexpensive too. Available at marine stores and JC Whitney.
