So ran into a "problem" today while putting her up for winterization. Boat has a very long dash between the helm and the windshield. I'd like to wipe it down, but my arms are too short to reach and I don't really feel like climbing around. Any ideas, tips, tricks for wiping down that area up under the windshield that seems to collect bugs and stuff. I was thinking maybe some sort of swiffer like thing? Thanks in advance.

There are also car windshield washer poles/pads to clean the inside of windshields. Possible that?

I bought this on Amazon. We spray with 303 and wipe down.
Works great.

There are many ways to clean your dash. I prefer to wipe it clean in five minutes and be done. Don’t necessarily want to wet the whole cockpit to clean the dash. To each his own :)

We used the crevice attachment from the central vacuum to suck the bugs and after that put a wet washcloth on the end of same crevice tool to wipe area down. It is tough to get all the way in there. We needed to hop up on the dash on the port side. Hope that helps

Yeah. I do have a small vac with extensions on the boat. But have to set up and tear down. Ok for a major cleaning. Looking for something to use in between for a quick wipe down. Don’t like to spend the first hour of my visit cleaning everything. :)

Spray it down with a hose, its a boat, its made to get wet.
That's what I do for a major clean. However, the water in my area is so hard, I spend more time getting (literally grinding) the spots off the window than I would dry-cleaning out the dust and bugs from the crevices.

At this point, however, my favorite tool for major cleanings is my checkbook.

I have the same issue, except I also have mega bugs that get trapped in that space and get stuck to the vinyl covering. I use something like @Mauler34Rod uses and soak it with window cleaner, works well.

Since you referenced bugs I thought I would share this. Where the dash meets the windshield collects a lot of bugs on my boat. I tried these this year and they are working well. Best guess is they've cut it down by 70 to 80%, if not more. Please note I am not an exterminer or a bug expert, dash or window expert, just offering a suggestion that worked for me.
