well, i have my dash out for refinishing on my '81 260 sundancer, going to have scott refinish dash panel and switch panel in burled wood finish with new new gauges and lighted switches added. now,i see another area to address,i cant see putting a nice dash panel in with the surrounding dash area looking old. the light brown paint is faded,so i'm reaching out to anyone out there who knows what paint to use or who has done this before,....help:smt100

Whta does that cost? I would love to do the same.
Just a ball park figure.

when it's completed i'll add up the price, list parts it took and post pics.it's my winter project so it will be awhile. still need help on ideas for painting the dash area, the factory paint has a slight rough texture.:smt100

Is it paint or gelcoat?

Regardless, Easypoxy would be a good paint to use. About $35/quart. Imron and Awl Grip are other alternatives - both very good - but more expensive.

I used Easypoxy as Dennis suggested. Clean up as well as you can, sand lightly for a good mechanical bond with the new paint, wipe down clean with thinner. Paint it (two coats).

Is the Easyoxy as robust as a two part system? I have the faded dash syndrome on my 88 dancer 300. Dont mind taking the time to do the job, but only want to do it once and use the best product I can. I think that the masking and surface preparation is going to be the toughest part of the job. Thanx guys.
